INCI: Polysorbate 80, Ethoxylated Sorbitan Monooleate
Description: Polysorbate 80 is a nonionic surfactant and emulsifier often used in pharmaceuticals, foods, and cosmetics.
Properties: Soluble in water, ethanol, vegetable oil, ethyl acetate and methanol, insoluble in mineral oil. Allows for blending of water and oil-based ingredients, creating stable emulsions such as creams. Light yellow to amber colour, viscous liquid.
Use: Emulsifier and solubilizer
Application: Lotions and serums.
