INCI: Cyclopentasiloxane

Description: Silicone 245. A lightweight silicone, with good spreading, gives smooth and velvety feeling to the skin. Can help reduce tackiness or greasiness of formulations. 

Properties: Insoluble in water, soluble in silicone liquids and ester, miscible with mineral and plant oils; solubility and stability of formulations depends on the polarity of the oil phase. Sensitive to heat, to be introduced into formulation at final phase (after cooling down). Clear and colourless, low viscosity liquid. Odourless.

Use: Skin moisturising and softening, silky and velvety skin feel, hair shine.

Application: Serum, cream, lotion, hair oil, hair conditioner. Skin care, body care, hair care.
